P.E.S.T. Relief International is proposing an apprenticeship program that will help alleviate the national shortage of employment opportunities that exist for young adults who are aging out of the foster care system. The program will simultaneously reduce the industry wide difficulties that exist within pest management companies to find and retain employees.
Creating a pilot program to identify, train, and support these young men and women so they are able to secure gainful employment
Using a partnership of established, non-profit agencies, industry experts, and pest management companies, we will create a pilot program to identify, train, and support these young men and women so they are able to secure gainful employment while also providing entry-level laborers for pest management companies. Excellent candidates for employment will be identified through the nonprofit organizations which currently provide ongoing family support for these young adults who are seeking employment.
